Semiotics: Sign Language

The term "semiotics" is derived from the Greek word semeion, meaning "sign". In  the XVII century philosopher John Locke mentioned the concept of semiotics, defined as "the doctrine of signs", whose mission was - "to consider the nature of signs that the mind uses to and understanding of things, or to share their knowledge with others."
One of the main distribution of semiotics is advertising.Understanding the basic idea of advertising - one of the main problems of advertising psychology, reducing its effectiveness in the modern world. And in order to overcome this effect, you must learn to think like the consumer is thinking, and give him a clear understanding for the character. Some of the examples of nowdays advertise designs.

1. Chilean advertising agency shows how well advertised washing powder Bold cope with any contamination.
2. Belgian designers are advising to not rely too much on the acting skills while traveling to another country, but still learn a foreign language.

3. Advertising of warm athletic footwear for extreme and cold conditions.

From the very different people now and then I heard:" Tell me, what is semiotics? "Over time, for me it became obvious that this is a normal reaction to the word" semiotics ". No one exactly knows what semiotics is and what it deals with. It is remarkable that nobody usually asks: "What does the math?" or "What is  biology studying ?" The object and purpose of these disciplines seem obvious by intuition. (Although, maybe this is only because of the fact that you learn it in school?)
